Scotland - Part Two

Today's post, as you might be able to tell from the title is the second instalment of my Scotland series,  I'll be sharing most of the things I treated myself to while I was away. I'm not going to say much more so lets just get straight into it!

Yankee Candle - Christmas Cookie
A family member actually gave me this candle, she's actually the person who introduced me to Yankee Candles in the first place so I love seeing her latest candles! She's as addicted as I am! It's a very sweet smell and like with all Yankee Candles the name of the scent is spot on.

Yankee Candle Samplers - (L-R) Sicilian Lemon, Summer Scoop, Turquoise Sky,
Loves Me, Loves Me Not and A Child's Wish
I had to pick up a few of these as there isn't really anywhere in London that has such a great selection of Yankee Candles, and I tend to avoid buying candles I haven't smelt before online as I'd hate to waste my money on scents that I don't like. I spent ages choosing which ones to buy and settled on these as I thought it was a nice range of scents. My favourite of the bunch has to be the A Child's Wish one, as it just smells divine.

The Tartan Traveller - Scottish Raspberry
I have to say, as soon as I smelt this candle I had to buy it, if they had more than one I would have jumped at buying a couple. It smells gorgeous and the fact it's made locally by a woman in Scotland was nice to know. The next time I'm in Largs I'll definitely be heading back to pick up some more of her candles to bring home with me.

Lily-Flame - Parma Violets
Two reasons I picked up this candle, 1. Lily-Flame candles are one of my favourite brands for candles and 2. My boyfriend absolutely loves Parma Violets, so this was a win win situation. Oh, and it really does smell exactly like Parma Violets something I love the smell of but I personally hate the taste, so this is perfect for me.

Shearer Candles - Hogmanay
This was also a gift to me, to celebrate Burn's Night with, I just love the smell of this candle and the fact I was wearing my green tartan leggings from Black Milk while I was up there made it even more perfect as it matched. Shearer Candles are certainly becoming a new favourite candle brand!

Shearer Candles - Amber Noir
Now, there is a story behind this candle, let me share it with you. I was standing outside the Hallmark Cards shop just having a look in the window, when I spot this candle. Seeing as my name is Amber I just had to find out what it smelt like, and well it smells exactly like the perfume Angel, which happens to be the only perfume my Mum wears. So, I immediately picked up the biggest candle they had of it, and then I picked myself up this smaller version of it just because I was so happy to find it!

Wax Tart Burner
Not sure what brand this Wax Tart Burner is but it was alongside all of their Bomb Cosmetics' products so it could possibly be made by them but I'm not entirely sure. I've wanted another smaller burner as I already have one burner which I use exclusively for my Yankee Candle Wax Tarts, and I've wanted to get some of the Bomb Cosmetics mini wax tarts for a while so this seemed like the best time. The idea is that you can burn several different mini melts to create even more different scents, which for a big candle lover sounds brilliant.

Bomb Cosmetics' Little Hotties
Yeh I may have gotten a little carried away but I couldn't control myself! I wanted to try them all! I also picked up their little mix booklet so I can try out some of their recommendations for concoctions.

Antique style frame with a Blue Butterfly Image
I decided I wanted to get some sort of blue butterfly while I was up in Scotland to have a little reminder of my Auntie Jessie who passed away when I was younger. I had pretty much given up on the idea until I was leaving a shop and out of the corner of my eye I spotted this little beauty. I know the picture itself is probably just a stock image and not meant to be kept in the frame but I love the look of it and it'll be going up on my wall as soon as I move.

Walkers Shortbread Tin
I was craving some shortbread while I was up there and thought I'd get myself this particular one as I loved the tin and I know I'll get some use out of it so I thought it was a nice little extra.

Dreams Frame

I picked this up just because I'm always on the lookout for nice little signs to put up on my wall when I move so I as soon as I saw this I fell in love with it and had to buy it.

Dream Catcher
For some reason, ever since I've been little I've always been drawn to dream catchers and I always only ever seem to buy them in Scotland, seems like a tradition. I loved this one and I picked it up after I had my Angel Reading, it's beautifully made and I was very happy when the lady revealed that it was actually on sale so it ended up being quite cheap.

That's all folks! Let me know if you'd like to see more about anything I've shown here, or if you'd just be interested to see my current candle collection.
